Claim of US Patent No. 9,832,892

1. A sensor for outputting an electrical signal on the basis of a detected physical variable, comprising:
a measuring circuit which is accommodated in a circuit housing and with which an external circuit can make contact by an electrical
signal connection, and

a protective body which surrounds the circuit housing and is composed of a protective compound and has an opening by which
a portion of the circuit housing is exposed,

wherein the circuit housing has, on its surface, at least one rib which runs all of the way around a periphery of the circuit
housing and is surrounded by the protective compound.
