Claim of US Patent No. 10,716,129

1. A method for wireless communication, comprising:receiving, at a receiver using a first radio access technology (RAT), a channel occupancy identifier for a transmission using a second RAT, the channel occupancy identifier being received over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band, the channel occupancy identifier includes at least a portion of a Wi-Fi preamble having at least seven symbols;
identifying a type of the channel occupancy identifier based at least in part on constellation of a sixth symbol and a seventh symbol of the channel occupancy identifier;
decoding the channel occupancy identifier to identify a backoff period; and
refraining from accessing the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band using the first RAT based at least in part on the backoff period.
