Claim of US Patent No. 10,485,016

1. A method of wireless communication operable at a scheduling entity, comprising:selecting a short uplink control burst to carry feedback corresponding to a long downlink burst transmitted in a same slot as the short uplink control burst when a scheduled entity can be expected to decode the long downlink burst before completion of transmission of the short uplink control burst;
selecting an other uplink control burst in a later-provided slot to carry the feedback when the scheduled entity is not expected to decode the long downlink burst before completion of transmission of the short uplink control burst;
transmitting scheduling information operative to schedule transmission of uplink control information by the scheduled entity; and
transmitting a short downlink control burst in at least one slot that provides for a long uplink burst,
wherein the scheduling information is configured to cause the scheduled entity to use the selected uplink control burst for transmission of the feedback.
