Claim of US Patent No. 10,433,319

1. A method of allocating resources in a mobile telecommunications system including a base station configured to communicate via a wireless interface with one or more terminals and one or more infrastructure nodes configured to communicate via the wireless interface with the one or more terminals, the method comprising:obtaining measurements, wherein a measurement relates to a link between a first terminal of the one or more terminals and a first infrastructure node of the one or more infrastructure nodes;
obtaining one or both of a delay-sensitive terminal indicator associated with the first terminal, and a delay-sensitive infrastructure node indicator associated with the first infrastructure node; and
identifying communications between the first terminal and the first infrastructure node as delay-sensitive communications based on the obtained one or both of the delay-sensitive terminal indicator and the delay-sensitive infrastructure node indicator;
identifying, based on the measurements and a result of the identifying the communications as the delay-sensitive communications, resources of the wireless interface to allocate for the first terminal to communicate with the first infrastructure node, wherein the resources are selected from two or more periods of time; and
allocating the resources for the first terminal to communicate with the first infrastructure node during the two or more periods of time.
