Claim of US Patent No. 10,397,996

1. An integrated light emitting diode (LED) assembly, comprising:an LED assembly member having an LED array formed thereon; and
an integrated control module (ICM) coupled to the LED assembly member, the ICM comprising a control circuit configured to control current initially applied by an external driver to the LED array in response to a control signal from a processor,
wherein the processor is configured to adaptively adjust the control signal when the external driver is replaced with a new external driver,
wherein the control circuit further comprises a variable resistor in series with the LED array, wherein the control signal is configured to control the resistance of the variable resistor when current is initially applied to the LED array to control inrush current and to monitor the peak inrush current to generate an inrush current profile for the new external driver.
