1. A method for wireless communication, comprising:receiving, by a first station, a message comprising a request for two or more stations to concurrently transmit an uplink transmission, the two or more stations including the first station;
determining, by the first station, a status of a medium at the first station based on at least one of a clear channel assessment (CCA) or a network allocation vector (NAV); and
selectively transmitting the uplink transmission based on the determined status of the medium at the station or based on an indication included in the message,
wherein selectively transmitting comprises transmitting the uplink transmission based on a transmission parameter, and wherein the transmission parameter comprises at least one member of the group consisting of a guard interval, a bandwidth, a transmission (TX) power, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS), a TX time, an identity of other stations, an amount of data to be transmitted, and an estimated duration of the data excluding padding.
