1. A method comprising:capturing, by an imaging sensor, one or more images of an area responsive to systematically controlling a lighting system of the area, wherein the lighting system comprises a plurality of artificial light sources and lighting control devices;
determining, by the imaging sensor, a location of one or more artificial light sources of the plurality of artificial light sources with respect to a location of the imaging sensor based on a pixel analysis of the one or more images;
allocating, by the imaging sensor, a portion of the area as an area of influence of the imaging sensor,
wherein the area of influence comprises the portion of the area within which the imaging sensor can influence a change in luminescence above a threshold change in luminescence by controlling at least one artificial light source of the one or more artificial light sources; and
associating, by the imaging sensor, the at least one artificial light source with the area of influence of the imaging sensor.
