at least one outer shaped portion extending below the base outer surface thereby increasing the surface area compared to a surface of a corresponding flat surface to further assist in uneven heat transfer from the heating source.

(iii) maintaining the heating power applied to the vessel for a 2nd period of time thereafter that is determined from the first period of time, wherein after the 2nd period of time a sufficient quantity of the water has been converted to water vapor to replace the atmospheric content of the vessel and the temperature in the vessel is at a first temperature that is greater than the predetermined temperature,

f) reducing the heating power to the vessel after the 2nd period of time to bring the vessel to a 2nd temperature lower than the first temperature, wherein condensation of the water vapor within the vessel causes an internal reduction pressure sufficient to engage the lid to seal with the rim of the vessel, and
g) maintaining the vessel at the 2nd temperature for a predetermined amount of time.

(e) a second digital indicator located on the external surface of the rigid container that is configured to (i) signal that a parcel is present within the internal area and (ii) automatically reset when the user retrieves the parcel by opening the door using the software application; and
(f) a motor that is configured to automatically close the door after the defined period of time has elapsed.

1. An apparatus for attaching an item of gear to a duty belt, the apparatus comprising:(a) a knob having a neck adapted to attach to the item of gear, and a head extending from the neck, the neck having a diameter and the head having a diameter larger than the neck diameter;
(b) a latch having a frame, a first slider, a second slider, and a biasing mechanism, the frame having a front side and back side;
(c) the frame having a knob bore in the front side;
(d) the first slider having a first center bar, a first squeeze edge on the first center bar, a first at least one arm extending perpendicularly from a first inner edge of the first center bar opposite the first squeeze edge to a first hook, the first hook curving between approximately 90° and approximately 180° back toward the first center bar to form a first concave edge;
(e) the second slider having a second center bar, a second squeeze edge on the second center bar, a second at least one arm extending perpendicularly from a second inner edge of the second center bar opposite the second squeeze edge to a second hook, the second hook curving between approximately 90° and approximately 180° back toward the second center bar to form a second concave edge;
(f) the sliders slidably mounted within a slider depression in the front side of the frame such that the first concave edge and the second concave edge form an aperture aligned with the knob bore, the aperture having a width and a height, the height being larger than the knob head diameter;
(g) the biasing mechanism biasing the first slider and the second slider away from each other such that the latch is in a latched position wherein the aperture width is smaller than the knob head diameter;
(h) when the first slider and the second slider are forced toward each other against the biasing mechanism, the latch is in an unlatched position wherein the aperture width is larger than the knob head diameter;
(i) a rectangular tube on the back side of the frame, the tube having a belt channel adapted to receive a duty belt; and
(j) at least one set screw extending into the belt channel and adapted to secure the latch to the duty belt;
(k) whereby, when the latch is in the unlatched position, the knob is removably receivable by the aperture, and when the latch is in the latched position, the knob is captured by the aperture.

wherein the web based application or the cell phone application is configured to allow the end-user to modify an irrigation schedule and generate commands via the end-user interface, and to transfer the modified irrigation schedule and the commands to the communications network;
wherein the at least one wireless control node is configured to receive the modified irrigation schedule and the commands from the gateway via a local wireless network, store the modified irrigation schedule and the commands in a memory of the at least one wireless control node, and execute the modified irrigation schedule and the commands;
