A light fixture comprising:a first lighting element group and a second lighting element group, the first lighting element group comprising a first plurality of lighting elements and configured to produce light at a first color temperature, the second lighting element group comprising a second plurality of lighting elements and configured to produce light at a second color temperature; and
a light fixture controller configured for performing operations for controlling color temperature and intensity of the light fixture, the operations comprising:
receiving a color temperature setting and an intensity setting for the light fixture;
generating control signals based, at least in part, upon the color temperature setting and the intensity setting for the light fixture, wherein the control signals comprise a first control signal and a second control signal, the first control signal configured for controlling an on/off state of the first lighting element group by controlling an open/closed state of a first switch connected to the first lighting element group, the second control signal configured for controlling an on/off state of the second lighting element group by controlling an open/closed state of a second switch connected to the second lighting element group, wherein
the first control signal only turns on one or more lighting elements of the first lighting element group for a first duration of an ON/OFF cycle and the second control signal only turns on one or more lighting elements of the second lighting element group for a second duration of the ON/OFF cycle, wherein the ON/OFF cycle comprises multiple time periods, and during each of the multiple time periods, at least one lighting element group of the light fixture is set to be on and at least one another lighting element group of the light fixture is set to be off,
a ratio between the first duration and the second duration is determined based, at least in part, upon the color temperature setting for the light fixture,
the first switch connected to the first lighting element group and the second switch connected to the second lighting element group are further configured to control an intensity of the light fixture at a first intensity,
the first lighting element group is further connected to a third switch and the second lighting element group is further connected to a fourth switch, the third switch and the fourth switch are configured to control the intensity of the light fixture at a second intensity, and
the control signals further comprise a third control signal and a fourth control signal for controlling the third switch and the fourth switch, respectively.

a first motor coupled to the first filter unit, wherein the first motor is configured to selectively actuate a selected filter of the first filter unit into a beam of the broadband illumination from the illumination source; and
an additional motor coupled to the additional filter unit, wherein the additional motor is configured to selectively actuate a selected filter of the additional filter unit into the beam of broadband illumination, wherein the selected filter of the first filter unit and the selected filter of the additional filter unit are configured to filter broadband illumination from an illumination source to provide a selected filtered spectrum band for broadband inspection; and
a controller communicatively coupled to the first motor and the additional motor, wherein the controller includes one or more processors configured to execute a set of program instructions and memory, wherein a first combined spectral configuration and at least one an additional combined spectral configuration are stored in memory, wherein the program instructions are configured to cause the one or more processors to implement at least one of a first combined spectral configuration or the at least an additional combined spectral configuration in response to a user request via a user interface, wherein the first combined spectral configuration or the at least an additional combined spectral configuration includes adjusting a positional state of at least one of the first filter unit or the additional filter unit via at least one of the first motor or additional motor to achieve at least one of the first combined spectral configuration or the at least one of an additional combined spectral configuration, wherein the first combined spectral configuration provides a first spectral range and the additional combined spectral configuration provides an additional spectral range different from the first spectral range, wherein the first spectral range and the additional spectral range are between 10 and 600 nm.

determine a target TBS by scaling the nominal TBS per resource block value based on at least a number of symbols in a downlink transmission time interval (TTI), an actual CFI used for the downlink TTI, and an actual number of physical data shared channel (PDSCH) reference symbols per resource block, and a number of resource blocks allocated to the UE;
determine a customized TBS, from a plurality of predefined TBSs, that is closest to the target TBS;
map the customized TBS to a customized MCS; and
use the customized TBS and the customized MCS to transmit to the UE during the downlink TTI.

determining, by the UE, a plurality of candidate Downlink Control Information (DCI) formats that correspond to the plurality of transmission modes supported by the base station;
receiving, by the UE, a subframe of a radio frame from the base station;
performing, by the UE at a physical layer, at least one blind search for a unique identifier associated with the UE in DCI of the subframe using at least one of the plurality of candidate DCI formats;
identifying, by the UE at the physical layer, a particular DCI format of the plurality of candidate DCI formats that permits the UE, during the at least one blind search, to find the unique identifier in the DCI of the subframe;
identifying, by the UE at the physical layer, a particular transmission mode of the plurality of transmission modes that corresponds to the particular DCI format; and
interpreting, by the UE at the physical layer, data for the UE in the subframe according to the particular transmission mode,
wherein the RRC message is received by the UE prior to receipt of the subframe.
