in response to the current version vector comprising the first incarnation identifier and the first transaction identifier being less than or equal to the data of the last completed version vector comprising the second incarnation identifier and the second transaction identifier accessing the file at least in part by:
reading the file;
determining that an inconsistency for the file exists; and
fixing the inconsistency at least in part by rolling back the file to a previous stable version of the file.

A semiconductor device comprising: an electrically conductive heat sink having a first surface; a semiconductor substrate having a first surface, a second surface, and two opposite sides; a first contact located on the first surface of the substrate; and a second contact located on the second surface of the substrate, wherein the first surface of the substrate is mounted on the first surface of the heat sink for electrical and thermal conduction between the heat sink and the substrate via the first contact, wherein the second surface of the substrate is mountable on a surface of a carrier via the second contact, wherein the electrically conductive heat sink further comprises a first portion extending substantially parallel to a plane containing the first surface of the substrate, wherein the first portion comprises the first surface of the electrically conductive heat sink, and a plurality of further portions extending away from the first portion, each further portion extending down and adjacent to the two opposite sides of the substrate to enclose the two opposite sides of the substrate between the plurality of further portions for mounting the electrically conductive heat sink on the surface of the carrier, wherein each further portion comprises a mounting surface that is coplanar with the second surface of the substrate and a further contact surface that is coplanar with the second contact, wherein the mounting surface of each further portion is mountable on the surface of the carrier via the further contact, and wherein the electrically conductive heat sink comprises an electrically conductive outer layer on an outer surface of the electrically conductive heat sink.

aligning or setting a relative position between the radiation source and the at least one component of the mode matching optics to achieve the maximum mode fill ratio, and thereafter
adjusting a shape of the optical feedback spectral modes by adjusting the relative position between the radiation source and the at least one component of the mode matching optics to attain the reduced mode fill ratio and control an amount of the optical feedback radiation emerging from the resonant optical cavity towards the radiation source, and
a detector configured to measure an intensity of an intra-cavity optical power of radiation circulating in the resonant optical cavity.
