when the target intensity is within a second intensity range, adjust the average magnitude of the load current by keeping the length of the second time period constant and adjusting the length of the first time period.

(ii) to control electron current associated with each pulse in a manner wherein the higher the energy associated with a given pulse of the given packet, the lower the electron current provided in connection with the given pulse; and

1. A base station of an air-to-ground (ATG) communications system, the base station being configured to communicate with an in-flight aircraft of the ATG communications system, the base station comprising:a ground-based transceiver;
a ground-based controller operably coupled to the ground-based transceiver; and
a beamforming network operably coupled to the ground-based controller,
wherein the beamforming network is configured to generate a wide antenna beam and a plurality of fixed narrow antenna beams that overlap the wide antenna beam,
wherein the wide antenna beam is associated with communication of control information and the narrow antenna beams are each associated with communication of data traffic, and
wherein the beamforming network is configured to:
responsive to establishment of access to the aircraft via the wide antenna beam, receive position information via a return link from the aircraft, the position information being indicative of aircraft position,
determine one of the narrow antenna beams to activate based on the position information, and
activate the determined one of the narrow antenna beams to communicate the data traffic with the aircraft.

1. A Wireless Access Point, comprising:a housing comprising a plurality of sides each adjacent to a bottom portion, wherein the housing houses a plurality of components comprising a fan module, a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) comprising one or more Wi-Fi radios, and a power supply;
an electrical plug connected to the power supply and extending from the bottom portion for insertion into an electrical outlet for power and for physical support of the Wireless Access Point adjacent to the electrical plug;
vents disposed on the housing on a surface that is recessed from the bottom portion with the electrical plug to provide a gap for air circulation; and
a heatsink supporting the fan module, wherein the fan module is located in an interior of the housing, wherein air intake from the vents is guided between layers of the plurality of components via gaps in edges of the heat sink.

wherein a voltage at the common end of the main power switch tube and the primary-side winding is a node voltage, after the first switch tube is turned off, when the node voltage reaches an input voltage for the first time, start timing, if the node voltage drops to a low threshold before the timing reaches a first time, a turn-off moment of the first switch tube in a next circle is advanced; and if the node voltage is greater than the low threshold when the timing reaches the first time, the turn-off moment of the first switch tube in the next circle is delayed.

A scanning device for enabling radio frequency identification (RFID) sessions based on imager based object detection, the scanning device comprising:an optical imaging assembly having an optical field of view (FOV) and an effective reading range, the optical imaging assembly operable to capture one or more images corresponding to one or more product codes positioned within the effective reading range;
an RFID reader having an RFID antenna, the RFID reader configured to emit, via the RFID antenna, a radiation pattern, the radiation pattern configured to extend over at least the optical FOV and the effective reading range of the optical image assembly, the RFID reader operable to read one or more RFID tags; and
a processor communicatively coupled to the optical image assembly and the RFID reader, the processor configured to:
detect a product entering the effective reading range and within the optical FOV based on any of: image feature object detection, infrared (IR) proximity detection, or image scene detection, and
responsive to detecting the product:
switch the optical imaging assembly from a presentation mode to an active mode,
activate the RFID reader, and
terminate the scanning session upon the occurrence of at least one of: (1) the optical imaging assembly scanning a product code associated with the product, or (2) the RFID reader reading an RFID tag associated with the product.

A method of obtaining buffer status information of a user equipment at a base station in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based mobile communication system, wherein the user equipment is in a state that data transmission from the user equipment is performed based on scheduling from the base station, the method comprising:receiving, by the base station, a signal of one bit-level information from the user equipment periodically via a physical uplink channel that is not a random access channel, while there is no traffic channel resource from the user equipment to the base station, wherein the signal is for informing presence of a request for an uplink channel resource used to communicate the buffer status information to the base station;
transmitting, by the base station, first resource allocation information for a first uplink channel to the user equipment after receiving the signal; and
receiving, by the base station, the buffer status information from the user equipment through the first uplink channel using the first resource allocation information.

determining that the users of the messaging system associate the business name with the phone number responsive to the exact match threshold being exceeded;
determining whether at least one of the business name or the phone number has characteristics consistent with the request originating from a genuine business;
validating the business account responsive to the users of the messaging system associating the business name with the phone number and at least one of the business name or the phone number having characteristics consistent with the request originating from the genuine business;
updating, responsive to the validating, profile data of the business account to indicate that the business account is verified;
receiving, from a client device that is associated with the business account, a message including content to display to a user of the messaging system; and
sending the content to a client device associated with the user of the messaging system in conjunction with an indication that the business account is verified, wherein the client device is adapted to display the content in conjunction with a visual indicator that the business account is verified responsive to the indication.
