based on the relationship, applying the third signal strength for the second wireless signal as received at the first wireless device to the function to estimate a fourth signal strength for the second wireless signal as if received at the second wireless device;
estimating the fourth signal strength for the second wireless signal as if received at the second wireless device, wherein estimating the fourth signal strength comprises determining an estimated value for the fourth signal strength.

monitoring a parameter of said fluid flow after the distal tip of the energy applicator has been inserted to track a flow rate of fluid while the elongated probe is in the uterine cavity to detect a perforation in the uterus, wherein fluid flow though the terminal and additional outlets continues when the distal tip has penetrated the wall of the uterus but drops to zero or close to zero when there are no perforations.

calculating and modifying, by the bandwidth limiting module, both the input frame rate and the input compression factor in predetermined order a second-stage bandwidth based upon the reduced input image resolution, wherein the predetermined order is performed by calculating and modifying the input frame rate before calculating and modifying the input compression factor.

A system of devices operable at intermediate ranges utilizing a set of discrete radio-frequency channels organized into a plurality of base channels and sub-channels assigned to the base channels, the sub-channels providing a range of redundancy options under a base channel, said system providing adaptation for changing conditions of interference in a wireless environment, said system further providing an indication of latency due to an application of higher levels of redundancy, said system comprising:a first and a second wireless devices, each of said devices comprising (i) a radio-frequency transceiver functional for wireless communication over the set of discrete radio-frequency channels, (ii) a non-volatile memory wherein is stored a set of channel parameters corresponding to the set of discrete radio-frequency channels, and (iii) an electronic circuit implementing a state machine immutable to power-transient events;
wherein the state machine of each of said devices is configured to perform the functions of:
(a) initializing electronic circuit and radio-frequency transceiver of the device into a power-on state, the power-on state configuring said radio-frequency transceiver to operate on an initial sub-channel,
(b) setting a base channel, and
(c) configuring the transceiver of the device to operate on a selected sub-channel, where a sub-channel has been selected following the making of an indication of increased redundancy;
further wherein the state machine of at least one of said devices is further configured to perform the functions of:
(d) retaining a badness value for the sub-channel presently configured,
(e) detecting errors in packet communication,
(f) applying accumulation to the badness value where errors are detected,
(g) decaying the badness value where packet transmissions occur without an error detected,
(h) applying an R+ threshold to the badness value, such that where the badness meets or exceeds the R+ threshold an increase in redundancy is indicated, and
(i) where an increase in redundancy is indicated, selecting a sub-channel having increased redundancy than the sub-channel for which said transceiver is presently configured;
wherein the first of said devices has incorporated thereto an indicator viewable from the exterior of said first device; and
further wherein the state machine of said first device is configured to perform the functions of:
(j) determining the output state of said indicator, said determination using as a basis present channel parameters being used in communication with said second device, said determination being correlated to the latency experienced in communication with said second device, and
(k) controlling the state of said indicator using determinations made, such that a person viewing said indicator can discriminate conditions of latency in the communication between said first and second devices.

a planetary gear set comprising: a ring gear fixedly coupled to the first cylindrical outer shaft and the second cylindrical outer shaft; a sun gear fixedly coupled to the first inner shaft; a plurality of planetary gears rotatably engaged with an outer surface of the sun gear and an inner surface of the ring gear; and a carrier coupled to the second inner shaft and rotatably supporting the planetary gears; and
first and second bearings that are provided at the first cylindrical outer shaft and the second cylindrical outer shaft, respectively,
wherein the planetary gear set is configured in such a way that, when a rotational force from the inner rotor is applied to the sun gear through the first inner shaft, a rotational speed of the inner rotor is decelerated through the planetary gears and the rotational force from the inner rotor is transmitted to the pulsator through the carrier and the second inner shaft with a decelerated rotational speed; and, when a rotational force from the outer rotor is applied to the ring gear through the first cylindrical outer shaft, a rotational speed of the outer rotor is not decelerated and the rotational force from the outer rotor is transmitted to the washing tub through the ring gear and the second cylindrical outer shaft, thereby being able to rotate the pulsator and the washing tub in the decelerated speed and the non-decelerated speed, respectively, and in opposite directions to each other, and drive the washing tub requiring a starting torque larger than that of the pulsator by ouput of the outer rotor providing a toque higher than that of the inner rotor.

assigning an influence value for each of the plurality of connected bulbs.

operating said induction heating coils in said common heating mode at least until one said induction heating coil detects that said temperature gradient of said cooking vessel base above said induction heating coil is approaching zero or has reached zero;
determining at least one of said induction heating coils to be a measuring coil; and
operating said measuring coil in a measuring mode and no longer in said common heating mode, with said measuring coil, in said measuring mode with a measuring power of up to a maximum of 50% of a maximum power of said induction heating coil, transmitting energy into said cooking vessel base for a short time and then detecting a fed-back oscillation response, with a time profile of said oscillation response being evaluated after several coupling-in operations of said measuring power, with said water in said cooking vessel being determined to be boiling in an event that said gradient of said time profile is approaching zero or has reached zero.
