a client device enabled to authenticate a person to access a financial software and execute a financial transaction;
an input device;
memory storing program instructions; and
a processor communicatively coupled to the illuminator device, the camera, the client device, the input device, and the memory, and further communicatively coupled to a database storing a reference iris image for a user validated to access the financial software, the processor executing the program instructions to:
receive an input signal from the input device;
determine that the input signal comprises a permission to scan an iris of a person in proximity to the client device;
align the camera with the iris of the person;
send a first control signal to the illuminator device, the first control signal activating a synchronous emission of light by the one or more illuminators;
send a second control signal to the camera, the second control signal activating a capture of a plurality of digital images by the camera, the capture being synchronous with the synchronous emission of light;
receive the plurality of digital images from the camera;
access the database and retrieve the reference iris image;
determine that a first digital image of the plurality of digital images matches the reference iris image, wherein the first digital image is a low resolution image selected from a plurality of resolutions, and wherein determining the match comprises selecting a low frequency component corresponding to said low resolution image, said low resolution image and said low frequency component being the lowest sufficient to identify coarse iris features;
authenticate the person as authorized to execute the financial transaction; and
execute the financial transaction.

wherein the host device assigns the absolute position information to correspond to the first address when the host device determines that the remote control engineering code is matched with the first device engineering code.

determining, by the second device and based on a remaining number of tokens in the token bucket, that a burst demand placed on the network by the user over a first period of time has met or exceeded the sustain rate and, in response to the determining that the burst demand has met or exceeded the sustain rate, temporarily reducing the token bucket depth; and
in response to determining, by the second device and after determining that the burst demand has met or exceeded the sustain rate, that a data traffic pattern associated with the user has remained under the sustain rate for a minimum period of time, restoring the token bucket depth.

A method for synchronizing a server cluster comprising a plurality of nodes each provided with an internal clock and interconnected with each other by a clock interconnection network, said clock interconnection network comprising a plurality of cables or buses connecting the plurality of nodes together, wherein each cable or bus of said plurality of cables or buses forms part of a transmission segment, the method comprising:generating time-stamping information by the internal clock of a source chosen from the plurality of nodes in the server cluster;
transmitting, by the cables or buses of the clock interconnection network, said time-stamping information to the plurality of nodes in the server cluster from the source;
imposing, via at least one delay locked loop (DLL) of each transmission segment of the clock interconnection network, on the transmission segment a predetermined, constant transmissions time of the time-stamping information through the cable or bus of the transmission segment, wherein the imposed transmission time is a same, maximum value for the each transmission segment; and
responsive to receiving the time-stamping information by any one of the plurality of nodes in the server cluster, adjusting the internal clock of said one node based on both the time-stamping information and information relating to the cables or buses traversing between the source and said one node, wherein the information relating to the cables or buses traversing between the source and said one node comprises a number of cables or buses traversing between the source and said one node such that a total transmission time is derived at said one node based on the number and the imposed transmission time.

wherein the gate driver for generating the driver signal is designed so that the driver signal is greater than or equal to 0 V;
wherein the resonant circuit is designed to recharge the capacitor to a negative gate-source voltage (UGS) less than the second driver voltage when deactivating the transistor with a change in the driver signal to the second driver voltage;
wherein the switching element is designed to separate the resonant circuit from the gate driver after recharging the capacitor;
wherein a part of the circuit arrangement is electrically downstream from the gate driver after output of the gate driver and is designed for voltage supply using the driver signal of the gate driver without requiring an additional voltage source to a voltage source supplying voltage to the gate driver; and
wherein the inductor is arranged between the additional transistor and the insulated gate of the transistor.
