item and/or of an event to the first virtual application program and/or the virtual control unit operating system from the
simulation environment, the simulation environment and the hypervisor being separate processes operating on the computer;

establishing a first interface between the hypervisor and the virtual machine,
wherein a second interface between hardware of the computer and the simulation environment is established by the computer
operating system,

wherein the hypervisor provides the first virtual machine of the computer,
wherein the hardware of the computer is made partly or completely available as virtual hardware to the first virtual machine,
and

wherein the virtual hardware comprises at least one first virtual computing core of the first computing core type;
initiating and controlling, by the simulation environment, an execution of the first virtual application program within the
control unit operating system of the first virtual machine through the simulation environment interface, the controlling including
transfer of data and/or events to the first virtual application program and/or the first virtual control unit operating system;
and

providing, via the virtual control unit operating system, the first virtual application program with direct access to the
hardware of the computer made available to the first virtual machine.

determine whether a first packet acknowledgement of the first packet is received from the metadata node within a first acknowledgement
wait time, wherein the first packet acknowledgement is to be received using a same protocol with acknowledgement as a protocol
that was used for sending the first packet to the metadata node;

in response to the first packet acknowledgement not being received within the first acknowledgement wait time:
resend the first packet; and
modify the first acknowledgement wait time;
upon receipt of the first packet acknowledgment, assign another packet to the first output queue and send the second packet
from the second output queue to the metadata node;

repeat assigning other packets for said call alternately to said first and to said second output queues and sending said other
packets alternately from said first and from said second output queues until all of said sequence of packets have been sent
to the metadata node and acknowledged; and

a communication interface of said metadata node configured to communicate with one or more of said plurality of data nodes

1. An apparatus comprising:
a printed circuit board (PCB); and
an electronic component mounted on the PCB, the electronic component comprising at least one pin,
wherein the PCB comprises:
a multi-level plane structure comprising first, second and third planes, wherein the first plane includes a first conductive
region, the second plane includes a second conductive region, and the third plane includes a third conductive region,

wherein the first, second and third planes are disposed at different levels from one another,
wherein the first conductive region includes a first portion projecting from a part of the first conductive region, a second
portion and a third portion between the first and second portions, wherein the second conductive region includes fourth and
fifth portions corresponding respectively to the second and third portions of the first conductive region, and wherein the
third conductive region includes a sixth portion corresponding to the fourth portion of the second conductive region;

a first conductive via forming a first electrical path between the third portion of the first conductive region and the fifth
portion of the second conductive region without an intervention of the third conductive region;

a second conductive via forming a second electrical path between the second portion of the first conductive region and one
of the fourth portion of the second conductive region and the sixth portion of the third conductive region; and

a third conductive via forming a third electrical path between the fourth portion of the second conductive region and the
sixth portion of the third conductive region, and

wherein the at least one pin of the electronic component is coupled to the first portion of the first conductive region.

of said DC component, ? is said grid voltage frequency, and ?1 is said first error signal; and

circuitry for subtracting said DC component from a current output of said converter by way of controlling a duty cycle for
