wherein, upon condition that the estimated current value has reached the first threshold and it is not identified based on the output of the remaining amount sensor that the remaining amount of the recording material has reached the first threshold, the estimation is controlled such that the estimated current value is maintained at the first threshold even in a case where an image formation in which the recording material is consumed is performed,
wherein, upon condition that the estimated current value has reached the first threshold and it is identified based on the output of the remaining amount sensor that the remaining amount of the recording material has reached the first threshold, control is performed to estimate the current value indicating the current remaining amount of the recording material based on the at least information indicating the calculated consumed amount of the recording material and the identification based on the output of the remaining amount sensor instead of the control performed to maintain the estimated current value at the first threshold,
wherein, upon condition that the estimated current value has reached the second threshold and it is not identified based on the output of the remaining amount sensor that the remaining amount of the recording material has reached the second threshold, control is performed to maintain the current value at the second threshold even in a case where an image formation in which the recording material is consumed is performed, and
wherein, upon condition that it is identified based on the output of the remaining amount sensor that the remaining amount of the recording material has reached the second threshold, control is performed to shift the image forming apparatus to a state where execution of an image formation in which the recording material is consumed is not accepted; and
display, on a displaying unit, information indicating the remaining amount of the recording material based on the predicted current value.

1. An image processing apparatus to execute noise reduction processing on image data, the image processing apparatus comprising:one or more processors; and
memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to function as:
an acquisition unit configured to acquire a capturing parameter that influences a degree of generation of random noise in the image data,
a processing unit configured to execute noise reduction processing on the image data, and
an output unit configured to output noise-reduced output image data based on a result of the processing unit,
wherein the processing unit determines a weight for a reference pixel based on a reference area including the reference pixel and a target area including a target pixel, and the processing unit calculates a value using reference pixels and weights corresponding to the reference pixels,
wherein a size of the target area and a size of the reference area are the same, and
wherein the output unit outputs, as a pixel value of the target pixel on the noise-reduced output image data, according to the capturing parameter, either a first value to be calculated in a case where a first pixel group is set as the target area or a second value to be calculated in a case where a second pixel group different from the first pixel group is set as the target area.

a first image forming operation in which an image is formed at a first peripheral velocity ratio representing a ratio of a peripheral velocity of the developer bearing member to a peripheral velocity of the image bearing member and
a second image forming operation in which an image is formed at a second peripheral velocity ratio, which is greater than the first peripheral velocity ratio, and
a developing bias applied to the developer bearing member and a supply bias applied to the supply member are set such that a urging force in the second image forming operation becomes smaller than that in the first image forming operation, the urging force causing the developer at a contact portion between the developer bearing member and the supply member to move from the supply member to the developer bearing member, by a potential difference between the developing bias and the supply bias.

1. A developing apparatus comprising:a developer bearing member configured to bear a developer on a surface;
a regulating member configured to regulate a layer thickness of the developer borne on the surface of the developer bearing member;
a conveying member configured to convey the developer; and
a frame having a development chamber in which the developer bearing member and the regulating member are provided, a storage chamber in which the conveying member is provided and the developer is stored, and an opening through which the developer being conveyed by the conveying member from the storage chamber passes into the development chamber,
the developing apparatus collecting the developer remaining on an image bearing member into the storage chamber, after the developer on the image bearing member is transferred onto a transfer material,
wherein, in a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the developer bearing member, a cross sectional area of the storage chamber is larger than that of the development chamber,
wherein, when a developing operation is performed, a contact region between the developer bearing member and the regulating member is located directly above the opening in a vertical direction and the developer scraped off from a surface of the developer bearing member at the contact region falls into the storage chamber, and
wherein the regulating member includes a protruded portion protruding to the developer bearing member side between a distal end portion and an opposite end portion of the regulating member, the protruded portion being in contact with the developer bearing member such that a first gap is formed between a first part of the regulating member, which is closer to the distal end portion than the protruded portion, and the developer bearing member, and a second gap is formed between a second part of the regulating member, which is closer to the opposite end portion than the protruded portion, and the developer bearing member.
