1. A fiber laser system comprising:
a seed laser configured to generate a plurality of optical pulses;
a controller configured to receive the plurality of optical pulses emitted from the seed laser and control an amount of chirping
to be applied to each of the plurality of optical pulses to obtain chirped pulses; and

an optical waveguide, having a characteristic of anomalous dispersion, configured to receive the chirped pulses emitted from
the controller and cause soliton self-frequency shifts while the chirped pulses propagate in the optical waveguide so that
a center wavelength of a pulse output from the optical waveguide depends on the amount of chirping in each of the chirped
pulses,

wherein the center wavelength is a first value when the amount of chirping is a first amount, the center wavelength is a second
value when the amount of chirping is a second amount, the first amount is different from the second amount, and the first
value is different from the second value, and

wherein the optical waveguide has the characteristic of anomalous dispersion with respect to all wavelengths contained in
each of the chirped pulses.

1. An image processing apparatus which segments a raster image having a predetermined width and a predetermined height, the apparatus comprising:an acquiring unit configured to acquire print data;
a plurality of rendering units configured to generate a raster image having the predetermined width and the predetermined height, wherein each rendering unit is configured to perform rendering to generate respective raster images each having the predetermined width and a height smaller than the predetermined height based on the print data, the rendering being performed in parallel by the plurality of rendering units; and
a segmenting unit configured to segment the generated raster image having the predetermined width and the predetermined height into raster images of a plurality of segments each having a width smaller than the predetermined width and the predetermined height.

determining a residual image distortion map based on transform coefficients of cosine functions fitted to the residual image, the transform coefficients being determined by applying a discrete cosine transform to a signal formed by the residual image and image gradients of the warped target image or the reference image; and
combining the current image distortion map with the residual image distortion map to align the fixed image and the moving image.
