1. A method for operating a vehicle, comprising:identifying, by processing circuitry, an obstacle blocking at least a portion of a road based on data received from one or more vehicle sensors;
determining, by the processing circuitry, whether a path trajectory cannot be found to operate the vehicle with respect to the identified obstacle while the vehicle is operating in autonomous mode;
sending, by the processing circuitry and upon determining that the path trajectory cannot be found, a request to a remote controller to navigate the vehicle;
operating, by the processing circuitry, the vehicle in a remotely controlled mode according to instructions received from the remote controller, a movement trajectory of the vehicle being recorded while the vehicle is operated, according to the received instructions, in the remotely controlled mode; and
updating, by the processing circuitry, a navigational map based at least on the recorded movement trajectory of the vehicle recorded during operation in the remotely controlled mode.

wherein to track the object after recognition of the signal component, in the subsequent measurement cycles, signal peaks of the raw signal are detected, and an assignment of the detected signal peaks to the object is checked,
wherein for each signal peak, a first probability is determined that said each signal peak describes a reflection of the ultrasonic signal at the object, and a second probability is determined that said each signal peak describes an interfering signal, and
wherein assignment of said each signal peak to the object is carried out with reference to the first probability and to the second probability.

performing an automated safety routine, including:
determining, by the processor and based on sensor data indicating positions and speeds of the first motor vehicle and the second motor vehicle, whether the first motor vehicle and the second motor vehicle are maintaining a same speed,
determining, by the processor and based on the sensor data, whether the first motor vehicle can switch to the adjacent lane without colliding with the second motor vehicle,
responsive to determining that the first motor vehicle and the second motor vehicle are maintaining the same speed and that the first motor vehicle cannot switch to the adjacent lane without colliding with the second motor vehicle, determining, based on the sensor data, a longitudinal offset to establish between the first motor vehicle the second motor vehicle, and establishing the longitudinal offset by automatically decreasing the speed of the first motor vehicle, wherein the determining of the longitudinal offset to establish and the establishing of the longitudinal offset are performed only when it has been determined that the first motor vehicle and the second motor vehicle are maintaining the same speed and that the first motor vehicle cannot switch to the adjacent lane without colliding with the second motor vehicle, and
automatically adjusting the speed of the first motor vehicle to maintain at least the longitudinal offset until the processor determines that the first motor vehicle can switch to the adjacent lane without colliding with the second motor vehicle.
