a server coupled to said first and second teleconferencing devices and said first and second remote stations, said server allows exclusive access to said first teleconferencing device by said first remote station wherein said image and audio from said first teleconferencing device is provided to said first remote station and said image and audio are not provided to said second remote station and even though said second remote station is prevented from accessing said first teleconferencing device said server allows said second remote station to access said second teleconferencing device.

wherein the station view field displays an image captured by the station camera, the station speaker reproduces a sound captured by the cart microphone, the station microphone captures a sound that is transmitted to and reproduced by the cart speaker, and
wherein the orientation of the first camera and the orientation of the second camera can be independently controlled from the remote station.

displaying a plurality of data fields on a user interface of a computer at a nurses station, the computer is separate from the telepresence device and is coupled to the network independently of the telepresence device;
receiving medical information from a user at the nurses station computer, the medical information including at least one patient information field and at least one medical data field that are filled by the user;
controlling the telepresence device via a remote station that is coupled to the network; and
displaying, on a monitor of the remote station, a user interface including the image of the patient, the patient information, and the medical data provided by the user at the computer at the nurses station.

capturing a patient image with the robot camera;
transmitting the patient image from the robot camera to a station monitor of the remote station;
displaying the patient image on the station monitor;
capturing a user image with a station camera of the remote station;
transmitting the user image from the station camera to the robot monitor;
displaying the user image on the robot monitor; and,
transmitting an audio command from a station microphone to a robot speaker.
