inwardly projecting protrusions and a plurality of outwardly projecting protrusions,
wherein the plurality of inwardly projecting protrusions project inwardly from a substantial portion of the inner periphery
of the band to engage with the device, wherein the protrusions are arranged such that, in normal use there is substantially
no contact between the band and the device other than through the protrusions, and

wherein the plurality of outwardly projecting protrusions are imbedded in the flexible polymer material along a substantial
length of at least one of the four sides of the band which are to surround the edge of the device and the plurality of outwardly

i. a dielectric parameter adjacent a part of the first portion of the communications device to be relatively high, and
ii. a dielectric parameter adjacent the second portion to be relatively low;
wherein at least a part of the base to be adjacent the first portion of the communications device when the communications
is disposed in the case, includes a casing material having a relatively high dielectric parameter, which thereby causes the
dielectric parameter adjacent the first portion of the communications device to be relatively high, when the communications
device is disposed in the case;

wherein the base and/or plurality of walls includes the casing material adapted to be adjacent the second portion of the communications
device when the communications device is disposed in the case, wherein the casing material covers the second portion of the
communications device when the communications device is disposed in the case, to thereby produce the relatively low dielectric
parameter adjacent the second portion of the communications device, when the communications device is disposed in the case;
and

wherein the casing material covering the part of the first portion of the communications device has a first thickness, the
casing material covering the second portion of the communications device having second thickness smaller than the first thickness,
such that the dielectric parameter adjacent the second portion is relatively low.

the communications device so as to cause:

i. a dielectric parameter adjacent a part of the first portion of the communications device to be relatively high, and
ii. a dielectric parameter adjacent the second portion to be relatively low, and
wherein at least a part of the base to be adjacent the first portion of the communications device when the communications
is disposed in the case, includes a casing material having a relatively high dielectric parameter, which thereby causes the
dielectric parameter adjacent the first portion of the communications device to be relatively high, when the communications
device is disposed in the case, wherein the casing material comprises a material with a permittivity of at least 3 and/or
a loss tangent of greater than 0.05.

the opening being positioned, in use, so that when the cover portion is in the closed position over the mobile communications device, the tab has a closed cover disengaged tab position and a closed cover engaged tab position, in the closed cover disengaged tab position, the tab is not engaged with the opening, in the closed cover engaged tab position, the tab is engaged with the opening, transition between the closed cover disengaged tab position and closed cover engaged tab position occurs by moving the tab so that the stud fastener enters the opening and resiliently deforms the material in the vicinity of the opening to hold the stud fastener in the opening in a secured configuration.

A method of manufacturing a case for a mobile electronic device with a screen, the case having a generally planar rectangular shape for fitting to the edges of the device and comprising two long side walls extending substantially parallel to another and two short end walls extending substantially parallel to one another between the long side walls; the method comprising:moulding a case portion of a first material of a first hardness forming a substantial portion of the side walls and end walls, and a second material of a second hardness extending around a substantial portion of an inner periphery of the first material, wherein the first hardness is greater than the second hardness;
presenting a strip to an outer periphery of the case portion, the strip comprising a foil temporarily affixed to a backing layer, and an adhesive on the side of the foil opposite to the backing layer;
applying heat and pressure to the backing layer using a roller which in turn presses the foil against the outer periphery of the case portion thereby activating the adhesive on the foil to cause the foil to adhere to the outer periphery of the case portion whereby the roller progressively attaches the foil only to the periphery of the case; and
removing the backing layer from which the foil has been removed.

a layer of a damping material which is softer than the flexible polymer provided within the flexible polymer layer, the layer of damping material having a top base surface, an opposite bottom surface, a plurality of inwaradly projecting protrusions extending away from the bottom surface and a plurality of outwardly projecting protrusions extending away from the top base surface, the outwardly projecting protrusions having a projection height measured from the top base surface to their peaks that is less than the thickness of the flexible polymer layer, wherein the outwardly projecting protrusions do not protrude beyond the flexible polymer and the flexible polymer material is present along an entire length of dampening material, such that the outwardly projecting protrusions are embedded in the layer of flexible polymer,
wherein the plurality of outwardly projecting protrusions extend along at least one of the four sides of the band which are to surround the edge of the device and the plurality of outwardly projecting protrusions project outwardly away from the device.
