said movable window panel with a receiving portion of said guide element, and (iv) moving said movable window panel along
said upper and lower frame portions to move said lower portion of said movable window panel into said receiving portion of

wherein, with said lower portion of said movable window panel in said receiving portion of said guide element, said movable
window panel is movable along said upper and lower frame portions between a closed position, where said movable window panel
is disposed at said opening, and an opened position, where said movable window panel is disposed at least partially along
said at least one fixed window panel.

wherein a touch sensor is disposed at said user input region, and wherein said touch sensor is not in electrical contact with
said transparent electrically conductive coating that is disposed at said second surface of said front glass substrate at
said electro-optic active region; and

wherein said touch sensor is operable to detect the presence or touch of a person's finger at said user input region.

21. An exterior mirror system for a vehicle, said exterior mirror system comprising:
an exterior mirror assembly;
said exterior mirror assembly comprising at least one of a powerfold exterior mirror assembly and a breakaway exterior mirror
assembly;

said exterior mirror assembly comprising a non-folding portion configured for mounting at a side of a vehicle equipped with
said exterior mirror system;

said exterior mirror assembly comprising a folding portion;
a reflective element disposed at said folding portion;
wherein said reflective element is mounted to a backing plate that is supported by an electrical actuator operable to move
said reflective element;

wherein said electrical actuator comprises a dual axis positioning device that permits adjustment of the position of said
reflective element about both vertical and horizontal axes;

said exterior mirror assembly comprising an indicator;
said indicator comprising at least one light emitting diode, said at least one light emitting diode emitting an intensity
of light when electrically operated;

wherein said indicator comprises a module; and
wherein said indicator is configured to, when said at least one light emitting diode is electrically operated and when said
exterior mirror assembly is mounted at the side of the equipped vehicle, emit a pattern of light laterally emanating from
the exterior mirror assembly, and wherein the pattern of light has a transverse axis with respect to the equipped vehicle
and a forward region forward of the transverse axis and a rearward region rearward of the transverse axis, and wherein portions
of the forward and rearward regions near said transverse axis have a higher light intensity than other portions of the forward
and rearward regions further away from said transverse axis.

ends of said perimeter seal to provide a fill port for said unfilled mirror cell when said front and rear substrates are joined
together;

said fill port allowing an electro-optic fluid to flow therethrough during the filling process;
wherein, during the filling process, said unfilled mirror cell is fixtured in a vacuum chamber and oriented with said fill
port disposed at an upper portion of said unfilled mirror cell;

wherein, during the filling process, the vacuum chamber is evacuated placing said unfilled mirror cell under negative pressure
with no pressure differential between said interpane cavity and the negative pressure of the vacuum chamber;

wherein, during the filling process, a filling element is disposed in the vacuum chamber at said fill port, wherein said filling
element comprises (i) a fluid reservoir that receives electro-optic fluid and (ii) a channel that provides fluid communication
between said fluid reservoir and said fill port;

wherein, during the filling process, a compressible sealing element having a passageway therethrough is disposed between said
filling element and said unfilled mirror cell;

wherein, during the filling process, said filling element substantially seals at said unfilled mirror cell around said fill
port via said compressible sealing element;

wherein, during the filling process, electro-optic fluid flows from a reservoir through said channel of said filling element
and through said passageway of said compressible sealing element and through said fill port of said unfilled mirror cell to
fill said interpane cavity with said electro-optic fluid;

one of (i) gravity feed and (ii) pressurized filling;

providing an unfilled mirror cell comprising a front substrate and a rear substrate joined by a perimeter seal, wherein said
perimeter seal spaces said front and rear substrates apart and forms an interpane cavity therebetween, and wherein said perimeter
seal has a gap between terminal ends of said perimeter seal to provide a fill port for said unfilled mirror cell when said
front and rear substrates are joined together;

providing a filling element, wherein said filling element comprises (i) a fluid reservoir, (ii) a mirror cell receiving portion
and (iii) a channel that provides fluid communication between said fluid reservoir and said mirror element receiving portion;

providing a compressible sealing element having a passageway therethrough;
positioning said unfilled mirror cell in a vacuum chamber with said fill port disposed at an upper portion of said unfilled
mirror cell;

positioning said filling element and said compressible sealing element in the vacuum chamber such that said mirror cell receiving
portion receives said upper portion of said unfilled mirror cell, with said fluid reservoir disposed above said mirror cell
receiving portion, and with said compressible sealing element between said filling element and said unfilled mirror cell,
wherein said filling element substantially seals at said unfilled mirror cell around said fill port via said compressible
sealing element;

establishing negative pressure in the vacuum chamber to place said unfilled mirror cell under negative pressure with no pressure
differential between said interpane cavity and the negative pressure of the vacuum chamber;

providing electro-optic fluid at said fluid reservoir of said filling element, said electro-optic fluid flowing through said
channel of said filling element and through said passageway of said compressible sealing element and through said fill port
of said unfilled mirror cell to fill said interpane cavity with said electro-optic fluid; and

after said interpane cavity is filled with said electro-optic fluid and while the filled mirror cell is still in the vacuum
chamber and under negative pressure, removing said filling element and said compressible sealing element from the filled mirror
cell and plugging said fill port.

grinding the front perimeter portion of the glass substrate via rotating said grinding wheel when said grinding wheel is at the front perimeter portion of the glass substrate to establish a ground rounded surface about and around the periphery of the glass substrate, wherein, during grinding, said grinding wheel rotates at between 4,000 RPM and 6,000 RPM;
after grinding the front perimeter portion of the glass substrate to establish the ground rounded surface, presenting said polishing wheel to the ground rounded surface and polishing the ground rounded surface via rotating said polishing wheel when said polishing wheel is at the ground rounded surface to establish a polished rounded surface about and around the periphery of the glass substrate, wherein, during polishing, said polishing wheel rotates at between 3,000 RPM and 4,000 RPM; and
wherein the polished rounded surface provides a smooth transition between the generally planar front surface of the glass substrate and a rear portion of the circumferential perimeter edge of the glass substrate.

wherein the circuit board is disposed between the rear end of the hollow housing and the front end of the hollow housing such that the first side of the circuit board faces the front end of the hollow housing and the second side of the circuit board faces away from the front end of the hollow housing;
a diffuser element attached at the front end of the hollow housing, wherein the diffuser element closes the front end of the hollow housing;
potting material disposed at and over the second side of the circuit board to seal the rear side of the circuit board;
wherein, when the at least one light emitting diode is activated, light emitted by the at least one light emitting diode reflects off the white inner surface of the hollow housing and passes through the diffuser element to exit the indicator module; and
wherein the indicator module comprises a blind zone indication module.

wherein a front surface of the perimeter edge provides a smooth curved transition at the perimeter edge between a perimeter region of the first surface of said wedge-shaped glass substrate and said mirror casing;
said perimeter region circumscribing said wedge-shaped glass substrate;
wherein the front surface of the perimeter edge comprises a rounded curved surface disposed between the first surface of said wedge-shaped glass substrate and said mirror casing;
wherein the radius of curvature of the front surface of the perimeter edge is at least 2.5 mm;
wherein no portion of said mirror casing encompasses the first surface of said wedge-shaped glass substrate; and
wherein an outer part of the perimeter edge of said wedge-shaped glass substrate is co-planar with an outer part of a side wall of said mirror casing.

wherein said first light source is operable to emit light through said window panel;
wherein said first light source, with said rear window assembly disposed at the rear portion of the cabin of the vehicle, and when said first light source is activated, emits light that passes through said window panel so as to be viewable by a person viewing said rear window assembly from exterior and rearward of the vehicle;
wherein said second light source is operable to emit light through an inner portion of said housing responsive to actuation of a user actuatable input; and
wherein said second light source, with said rear window assembly disposed at the rear portion of the cabin of the vehicle, and when said second light source is activated via actuation of the user actuatable input, emits light that passes through said inner portion of said housing and into the cabin of the vehicle to illuminate at least a portion of the cabin.

wherein said first glass substrate has a front surface and a rear surface and a substrate thickness spanning between the front surface of said first glass substrate and the rear surface of said first glass substrate;
wherein, with said mounting assembly mounted at the interior portion of the vehicle, said front surface is closer than said rear surface to a driver of the vehicle who is normally operating the vehicle;
wherein said first glass substrate comprises a flat region and a rounded perimeter edge circumscribing said flat region and extending between said front surface and said rear surface;
wherein, with said mounting assembly mounted at the interior portion of the vehicle, said rounded perimeter edge of said first glass substrate is exposed to, is contactable by and is viewable by the driver of the vehicle;
wherein curvature of said rounded outside surface of said outer end region of said sidewall matches curvature of said rounded perimeter edge of said first glass substrate; and
wherein said rounded outside surface of said outer end region of said sidewall and said rounded perimeter edge of said first glass substrate combine to provide a curved transition between said front surface of said flat region and said principal outside surface of said sidewall of said mirror casing.

a partially light-reflective and partially light-transmissive mirror reflector established at a vanity mirror region of one of (i) said first surface of said front glass substrate and (ii) said second surface of said front glass substrate;
wherein said front glass substrate comprises an exposed rounded perimeter edge, and wherein said front glass substrate extends beyond said rear glass substrate so as to provide an overhang region about the periphery of said rear glass substrate;
wherein, when not electrically powered, said electro-optic medium is substantially transparent, and when electrically powered, said electro-optic medium is darkened so as to have reduced light transmission; and
wherein, when said electro-optic medium behind said mirror reflector is darkened and when said sun visor assembly is in said use position, said mirror reflector at said vanity mirror region is usable as a vanity mirror by a user of said sun visor assembly.
