A method comprising:monitoring, by a device comprising a processor and coupled to a wireless communication system, the wireless communication system to detect a signal interference in a resource block of a plurality of resource blocks of a radio frequency spectrum, the monitoring resulting in interference data;
detecting, by the device, whether there exists a pattern of recurrence over time of the signal interference in the resource block of the plurality of resource blocks based on a correlation of the interference data, the detecting resulting in an affirmative pattern determination responsive to the pattern of recurrence existing;
responsive to the affirmative pattern determination, determining, by the device, whether mitigation of the signal interference is to be performed remotely with respect to the device, resulting in an affirmative remote mitigation determination in a case that the mitigation is to be performed remotely; and
responsive to the affirmative remote mitigation determination, transmitting, by the device, instructions to a remote wireless communication device experiencing the pattern of recurrence over time of the signal interference, wherein the instructions include one or more first mitigation steps to be performed by the remote wireless communication device.

1. A method comprising:detecting, by a processing device comprising a processor, that there exists a pattern of recurrence over time of a signal interference in a spectral segment of a plurality of spectral segments according to a threshold; and
responsive to the detecting of the pattern of recurrence over time of the signal interference, transmitting, by the processing device, instructions to a wireless communication device experiencing the pattern of recurrence over time of the signal interference, wherein the instructions include one or more first mitigation steps to be performed by the wireless communication device.

determining, by the processing system, an average SINR measurement of another base station, obtained prior to the adjusting of the power level of the at least a portion of the receive signal received at the base station, wherein the average SINR measurement of the another base station comprises an average over sectors of the another base station;
determining, by the processing system, whether the adjusting of the power level of at least the portion of the received signal received at the base station has reduced the average SINR measurement of the another base station; and
reversing, by the processing system, at least in part the adjusting of the power level of at least the portion of the received signal received at the base station, responsive to the determining that the SINR measurement of the another base station has been reduced,
wherein the adjusting of the power level of at least the portion of the received signal further comprises:
determining, by the processing system, an amount of adjustment of the power level of at least the portion of the received signal according to the power level resolution, to obtain a determined amount, according to a time of day and according to existence of an event at which a plurality of people congregate; and
adjusting, by the processing system, the power level of at least the portion of the received signal according to the determined amount; and
determining, by the processing system, whether the adjusting of the power level of at least the portion of the received signal has improved the sector-average SINR measurement.
