1. An equipment enclosure, comprising:
an air exhaust opening disposed at a first region of said equipment enclosure;
an air intake opening disposed at a second region of said equipment enclosure;
an interior equipment chamber configured to house controlled temperature equipment at a controlled temperature equipment area
therein;

a temperature diverter system, said air diverter system comprising:
a warm air exhaust subsystem operable to vent warm air collected at a top of said equipment enclosure through said air exhaust
opening in order to cool said controlled temperature equipment area; and

a warm air circulation subsystem operable to circulate warm air collected at said top of said equipment enclosure to said
controlled temperature equipment area in order to warm said controlled temperature equipment area;

said temperature diverter system comprising either (1) a common air mover that is shared by said warm air exhaust subsystem
and said warm air circulation subsystem, with said warm air exhaust subsystem comprising a first movable damper and said warm
air circulation subsystem comprising a second movable damper, each said damper being mechanically connected to a damper motor
implemented as a multi-position stepper motor that selectively positions said damper through a range of positions so that
said warm air collected at said top of said equipment enclosure is selectively directed by said common air mover to said warm
air exhaust system and said warm air circulation system, or (2) a first air mover for said warm air exhaust subsystem and
a second air mover for said warm air circulation subsystem, said first air mover and said second air mover being controllable
so that said warm air collected at said top of said equipment enclosure is selectively directed by said first air mover and
said second air mover to said warm air exhaust system and said warm air circulation system;

one or more temperature sensors; and
a digital temperature controller implementing a control routine for controlling operations of said warm air exhaust subsystem
and said warm air circulation subsystem based on input from said one or more temperature sensors.

1. An equipment enclosure free air cooling assembly, comprising:an air outlet arranged to deliver air that has passed completely through said free air cooling assembly to inside an interior equipment chamber of an equipment enclosure;
an air inlet arranged to receive said air from outside said equipment enclosure;
an air flow pathway through which said air entering said air inlet must pass to reach said air outlet;
a primary air filter removably disposed in said air flow pathway, said primary air filter being configured to filter dust from said air;
an adjustable screen assembly having a screen filter element disposed upstream of said primary air filter in said air flow pathway;
an adjustment mechanism operable to selectively utilize different regions of said screen filter element for filtering said air passing through said air flow pathway at different times;
said screen filter element being a secondary air filter configured to perform pre-screening to remove large particulates from said air before it reaches said primary air filter while passing said dust to said primary air filter, said large particulates being larger in size than said dust filtered by said primary air filter, thereby extending a useful service life of said primary air filter; and
said free air cooling assembly being operable to receive said air from outside said equipment enclosure into said air inlet, pass said air through said adjustable screen assembly and said primary air filter via said air flow pathway, and deliver said air that has passed through said adjustable screen assembly and said primary air filter through said air outlet to inside said interior equipment chamber.

1. An equipment enclosure, comprising:a temperature-controlled equipment chamber for housing equipment in said equipment enclosure; and
temperature control components that comprise:
an inside air inlet arranged to receive air from said equipment chamber;
an inside air outlet arranged to deliver air to said equipment chamber;
said inside air inlet and said inside air outlet each being on an inside cover;
a first outside air outlet arranged to deliver air to outside said equipment enclosure;
a second outside air outlet arranged to deliver air to outside said equipment enclosure;
a first outside air inlet arranged to receive air from outside said equipment enclosure;
a second outside air inlet arranged to receive air from outside said equipment enclosure;
said first outside air outlet, said second outside air outlet, said first outside air inlet and said second outside air inlet each being on an outside cover;
an interior air exhaust pathway extending between said inside air inlet and said first outside air outlet for venting interior air in said interior equipment chamber to outside said enclosure;
an interior air return pathway extending between said inside air inlet and said inside air outlet for recirculating interior air in said interior equipment chamber;
a first controllable damper operable to selectively communicate air from said inside air inlet to said air exhaust pathway and said interior air return pathway;
a fresh air inlet pathway extending between said first outside air inlet and said inside air outlet;
a second controllable damper operable to selectively communicate air from said interior air return pathway and said fresh air inlet pathway to said inside air outlet;
a primary air mover disposed to move air through said interior air return pathway and said fresh air inlet pathway;
an air heater in said interior air return pathway;
an air conditioning evaporator in said interior air return pathway;
an air conditioning warm air vent pathway extending between said second outside air inlet and said second outside air outlet;
an air conditioning condenser in said air conditioning warm air vent pathway;
a variable speed air conditioning compressor operably connected to pump a coolant through a coolant loop that includes said air conditioning condenser and air conditioning evaporator;
an air conditioning air mover disposed to move air through said air conditioning warm air vent pathway;
upper and low temperature sensors for sensing temperature in upper and lower portions of said equipment chamber;
an outside air temperature sensor for sensing outside air temperature; and
a temperature controller operable to control said dampers, said air movers and said air conditioning compressor based on temperature readings provided by said temperature sensors.
