1. A medical device comprising:
a pump housing including a barrel therein, the barrel having a longitudinal axis and a locking tab in the pump housing; and
a hub for retaining a replaceable reservoir in the barrel in the pump housing, the hub comprising:
a first end including a first end face disposed transverse to a hub axis, the first end face including a port disposed along
the hub axis, the port having tubing affixed thereto for passage of fluid from the reservoir, the first end face having formed
therein a grip to facilitate rotation of the hub about the hub axis;

a second end including a first male element having an external engagement feature for engaging with a corresponding female
element having an internal engagement feature on the reservoir to lock the hub to the reservoir and a second male element
for engaging with a corresponding element of the pump housing to retain the reservoir in the barrel when (a) the hub is placed
in the pump housing so that the hub axis corresponds with the barrel axis and (b) the hub is rotated; and

a controller including a mechanical protrusion that is a flange and is adapted to dislodge the locking tab on the barrel in
the pump housing to transition a fluid delivery device within the pump housing from a reservoir load position to an operate
position upon a rotation of the hub about the hub axis.
